I originally thought that this bulb was for use in a lighthouse of some sort, but that seemed ridiculous to me. I think I may have confused the word "lighthouse" with something else. Hey, my english is not perfect. So this bulb must be a projector bulb of some sort. It could be for use in a surgery room lamp because I have a very similar bulb that was for that purpose. This bulb died recently when I tried it in my dimmer switch (it took the dimmer's life too!). However I doubt this bulb is all that special because there is an almost identical bulb on the Bulb Direct 2002 catalog cover. This bulb seems to be a locomotive headlight bulb. I will delete this bulb from my site later to make more room for more interesting bulbs.
