| Tipped Green Westinghouse Mazda Lightbulb |
This is a Natural Green, cage filament, Westinghouse mazda lightbulb, in absolutely perfect condition. This is the tipped variant. These bulbs would be extremely hard to find and more valued if it weren't for one seller on eBay who has an apparently endless supply of them. The little glass tip on top tells us that this bulb was made before 1922. Bulbs like these were commonly used for theater stage illumination. The filament that this bulb uses is a "cage filament" made of tungsten. It is supported by a glass rod which has several hooks on it. The usual amount of hooks is 10, but there can be many more, especially in the case of 220 volt bulbs. People often find this type of filament hard to describe. It is simply a very long continuous filament, not multiple filaments as most people usually say by mistake.
