1890's C.G.E. Carbon Light Bulbs

These are 1890's C.G.E. Carbon Light Bulbs, with early Edison screw bases filled with plaster. Only one is in working condition. C.G.E. stands for Canadian General Electric, which was founded in 1892. By the year 1900, porcelain insulation was adopted, and the plaster insulation used previously (like on these bulbs) ceased to be used.
