Who knew you could make a useful bottle out of a dead incandescent light bulb? Certainly a, uh, "brilliant" way to transform trash into something useful. Here's how: Using pliers, flex the round metal contact at the bottom and rip it off, then bang the pliers against the black glass insulation under it until it breaks off in pieces, then break the stem by forcing it to a side, then pull the broken stem and filament supports out. Then just top it off with a coke bottle cap (which fits perfectly into a standard edison screw base), and you get a sealable glass bottle! Granted, it's harder than it sounds, and if you do it carelessly you could injure yourself with broken glass, but it's possible. I made this one myself as a teenager, after seeing someone else make one.
